The Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education is launching a campaign to position life insurance as the perfect Valentine’s Day gift.
The “Insure Your Love” campaign includes print ads in magazines such as People, a television media tour in 10 large markets, a Web movie entitled “You Do It For Love,” and a Selfless Love contest, according to LIFE, Arlington, Va.
Participants in the contest are supposed to submit a description of how a close friend or family member has exhibited selfless love. The grand prize winner will receive jewelry.
LIFE also will reward Valentine Day’s dinners to radio station listeners in markets such as Boston and Chicago who can tell the stations who is at the top of their “selfless love” list.
“LIFE is offering to pay for dinner so listeners can focus on more meaningful expressions of their love, such as a life insurance purchase,” LIFE says.
LIFE also has developed a campaign toolkit for producers that includes flyers, template letters, and “Insurance Your Love” branded products.
