State Farm To Honor Survivors

An insurance company is highlighting the importance of life insurance by organizing a contest to recognize individuals who have overcome the loss of loved ones.

State Farm Life Insurance Company, an arm of State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, says it will be handing out Embrace Life Awards to 13 nominees this year.

Each nominee will get a $10,000 cash prize.

The contest is open to individuals who have renewed their lives and inspired others through their perseverance after losing a spouse, guardian or parent.

Contestants can nominate themselves.

Nominators should submit essays of 1,000 words or fewer by March 2.
