For boomers, environmentalism is not a dead movement. In fact, consumers 55 and older are the most prolific users of green products in the United States, according to survey results released by ICOM Information & Communications.

Males and females in this demographic reported above average usage of environmentally friendly products; females ages 55 to 59 are more than twice as likely as the average consumer to use green products.

When asked why they elect to purchase eco-friendly goods, a 33 percent said it “makes me feel good about myself.”
