Principal Financial Group Inc. has posted a Web guide for employers worried about the effects of the recent market volatility on retirement benefits programs.

Principal, Des Moines, Iowa, says the guide, “Navigating Your Way through Market Turbulence,” discusses the effects of the volatility on defined benefit pension plans, defined contribution plans, employee stock ownership plans and nonqualified deferred compensation plans.

Another company, CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia, says its group insurance arm has developed a Web site that can help workers decide how much life insurance, accident insurance and disability insurance they need.
