Transamerica Reinsurance has hired David O’Brien to be a senior vice president in its international division.
O’Brien previously was a senior vice president in the insurance products group at a unit of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., New York, according to Transamerica Re, Charlotte, N.C., a unit of AEGON N.V., The Hague, Netherlands.
O’Brien is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries.

- Assurant Health, Milwaukee, a unit of Assurant Inc., New York, has promoted Scott Krienke to senior vice president – product lines, from senior vice president – individual markets; Steve Cain to senior vice president – underwriting and risk management, from vice president – underwriting and risk management; and Charles Steele to vice president – individual markets, from vice president – gent marketing.
- National Planning Corp., Santa Monica, Calif., a unit of National Planning Holdings Inc., which is, in turn, part of ING Groep N.V., Amsterdam, has named Oscar Martinez and Erik Feldman to be relationship managers.
Martinez and Feldman will provide practice management support services for the producers that work with National Planning.
