BB&T Insurance Services will be selling term life insurance written by units of Prudential Financial Inc. through the Web.
BB&T Insurance, a unit of BB&T Corp., Winston-Salem, N.C., a large regional bank holding company, will market the MyTerm term life coverage to BB&T bank customers, according to Prudential, Newark, N.J.
The Prudential units that write the coverage use a simplified underwriting process that can deliver policies to qualified customers in about 10 minutes, Prudential says.
Prudential issues the policies through Pruco Life Insurance Company in most states and through Pruco Life Insurance Company of New Jersey in New Jersey and New York.
