Kaiser Permanente says it approved $22 million in grants and donations for about 415 nonprofit organizations during the second quarter.

The giving program includes $750,000 over 2 years for community clinics and health centers, according to Kaiser Permanente, Oakland, Calif.

Kaiser Permanente also is spending $750,000 over 2 years to help the Institute of Medicine, Washington, conduct an obesity prevention study.
