E-Z Data's SmartOffice 6 Brings Customized Workflows to the Financial Advisor Desktop

E-Z Data, Inc., Pasadena, Calif., has announced the release of SmartOffice 6, the newest version of the company’s Web-based software for customer relationship management and advisor practice management. In an industry often hesitant to adopt new technologies, version 6 employs the latest in drag-and-drop, buttons, Web adapters, and integration tools available to provide the new generation of financial services professionals with the level of customization they expect.

Key features of the new release include customizable user views and settings; new investment downloads; improved calendaring, collaboration and visibility; and greater flexibility. SmartOffice 6 builds on the proven capabilities and success of prior versions of the application, simplifying system navigation and consistency while reducing keystrokes and providing detailed reporting capabilities to help users locate the information they need to effectively sell and service clients and prospects. SmartOffice 6 includes a wide variety of new features and system enhancements, including:

  • -Personalized home page, including customizable button bars, tabs, `favorites,’ and RSS feeds such as graphical illustrations of current investment positions
  • SMS alerts to changes, such as new leads and appointments
  • Support for broker-dealer compliance under SEC rules 17a-3 and 17a-4
  • Expanded user setup options and a navigable workflow history
  • Java-based tools that simplify integrations with third-party applications using SmartIntegrator
  • Integration with advisor Web sites that supports immediate input of Internet sales leads into the sales process
