The employee benefits division of American International Group Inc. has worked with the Lance Armstrong Foundation to develop a supplemental cancer policy.

In addition to traditional cash indemnity benefits, the new policy offers wellness and support benefits, according to AIG Employee Benefit Solutions, part of AIG American General, Houston.

The policy, the Livestrong SurvivorPlan, provides an annual $100 screening benefit that insureds can use to pay for tests such as mammograms, colonoscopies and electrocardiograms.

Insureds diagnosed with cancer can get support services from the Lance Armstrong Foundation, Austin, Texas.
