Pru Sells Simplified Term Through UMB

Prudential Financial Inc. is selling a new simplified-issue term life policy through banks owned by UMB Financial Corp.

The My Term product will be sold using an online automated underwriting process over a secure Web site, according to Prudential, Newark, N.J.

A policy can be delivered to qualified customers in about 10 minutes; Prudential says.

Customers can choose from a level-premium term of 10, 20 or 30 years.

Coverage amounts can range from $50,000 to $250,000.

Prudential is issuing the policies through its Pruco Life Insurance Company unit.

UMB, Kansas City, Mo., a bank holding company, has 135 banking centers in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.
