A large life insurer has licensed technology for its life insurance and annuity operations.

The Phoenix Companies Inc., Hartford, will be using the Customer Service Accelerator system from Computer Sciences Corp., Falls Church, Va., to improve customer service for 650,000 life and annuity customers and the financial professionals who serve those customers, according to CSC.

Phoenix will use the software to give customers a consolidated view of information from 5 different policy administration systems.

Today, Phoenix call-center representatives and back-office workers have to use several different session windows to get information from the different systems, CSC says.
