A managed care company will be promoting the idea of combining exercising and commuting in August, at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Humana Inc., Louisville, Ky., will be helping Bikes Belong, Boulder, Colo., make 1,000 free loaner bicycles available in Denver during the convention.

Humana has been testing Bikes Belong’s “Freewheelin” program in Louisville, by installing the group’s Freewheelin bike racks available for employee use.

About 2,500 employees registered for the program, Humana says.
