Personnel Changes: NLV, Allstate, Others

NLV Financial Corp. has named Edward Parry III to be executive vice president and chief financial officer.

NLV, Montpelier, Vt., the parent of National Life Insurance Company, brought in Parry to be interim CFO in November 2007.

Parry succeeded Edward Bonach, who left to become CFO of Conseco Inc., Carmel, Ind.

In other personnel news:

- Allstate Corp., Northbrook, Ill., has hired Walter Jones to be senior vice president of national accounts for its Workplace Division.

Jones previously worked in Raleigh, N.C., as a vice president in the benefits consulting arm of Aon Corp., Chicago.

Jones has a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina.

- John Hancock Financial, Boston, a unit of Manulife Financial Corp., Toronto, has hired Allan Hackney to be senior vice president and chief information officer.

Hackney previously was chief information officer at the AIG Consumer Finance Group, a unit of American International Group Inc., New York.

Hackney has a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University.

- Lockton Companies L.L.C., Kansas City, Mo., has hired Scott Adams to be a retirement services unit manager in Denver.

Adams previously was a senior client relationship manager at Great-West Retirement Services, Greenwood Village, Colo.

Adams has a bachelor’s degree in business from Western State College in Gunnison, Colo.
