Tech Bits: AXA Equitable, Skywire, Blue Frog

AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company is rolling out Performance, a Web-based system that can help advisors analyze clients’ variable life and variable annuity investment choices.

The system provides product performance updates, subaccount profiles, allocation portfolio updates and tools for sorting investment choices by variables such as asset class, subadvisor or subaccount name.

Advisors can get historical performance data in several formats, chart the net values of specific subaccounts, and compare the chart performance of 10 subaccounts over a variety of periods.

In other technology news:

- Prudential Financial Inc., Newark, N.J., is letting general agencies communicate directly with its underwriting and operations departments through the Insurance Data Exchange hub.

Prudential is using technology from Skywire Software L.L.C., Frisco, Texas, to make two-way messaging available for general agencies that use Skywire’s IDX system to market individual life insurance, according to Skywire.

- EMoney Advisor, Conshohocken, Pa., a unit of Commerce Bancorp, will be using technology from Blue Frog Solutions Inc., Pompano Beach, Fla., to help purchasers of its fixed annuity analysis software pull in the data recorded when an annuity is first sold.
