Insurer Tailors VA Product For Huntington

The U.S. division of Sun Life Financial Inc. has come out with a version of its Masters variable annuity product family aimed at customers of Huntington Bancshares Inc.

The contracts marketed through Huntington, Columbus, Ohio, include 10 Huntington Bank VA fund options along with about 40 other investment options, according to the Wellesley, Mass., U.S. division, which is a unit of Sun Life Financial Inc., Toronto.

Options include an Income ON Demand rider that can enable purchasers to stop, start and store annuity income during retirement, Sun Life says.

Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada (U.S.), Wellesley Hills, Mass., writes the annuities and backs the product guarantees outside New York.
