David Sloane will be the 2008 chairman of the Life Insurance Council of New York Inc.
Sloane, a member of the board at LICONY, New York, since 2002, is chairman of Genworth Life Insurance Company of New York, New York, a unit of Genworth Financial Inc., Richmond, Va.
LICONY represents 64 life insurers that do business in New York and 13 professional firms in related industries.
The other incoming officers are James Kerwin, who will be chairman-elect, and Timothy Walsh, who will be secretary-treasurer.
