Three nonprofit organizations have formed a coalition that will promote use of auto enrollment features in 401(k) plans.
The new group, Retirement Made Simpler, has set up a Web site aimed at small and midsize employers at Document Link
The site includes tips on how to get an automatic enrollment plan started, a discussion of the benefits of automatic 401(k)s, and examples of companies that have successfully switched to auto enrollment from conventional plans that require employees to make active efforts to sign up to participate.
