The Round Table of New York will be giving its 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award to David Woods.

The Round Table, a financial services group, presents the award each year to an individual who has made significant contributions to the insurance and financial services industry.

Woods, who has been president of the Life and Health Insurance Foundation, Arlington, Va., since 1995, also served as chief executive of the National Association Insurance and Financial Advisors, Arlington, from 2003 until this past August.

Woods was president of NAIFA’s predecessor group, the National Association of Life Underwriters, from 1986 to 1987.

Woods, who served in the U.S. Air Force as a jet fighter pilot, started his insurance career in 1961 in the home office of Fidelity and Guaranty Life Insurance Company, Baltimore.
