Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company has introduced term life insurance products that offer generous provisions for insureds who have life expectancies for 12 months or less.

The policies offer periods of level premiums and benefits that can last for periods of 10, 15, 20 or 30 years, according to Mutual of Omaha, Omaha, Neb.

The minimum death benefit is $100,000 for policies with terms of 10 years or 15 years and $50,000 for policies with terms of 20 years or 30 years.

Applicants for the coverage must go through a full underwriting process.

Mutual of Omaha is responsible for backing the product guarantees.

The policy accelerated death benefit rider, available at no additional cost in most states, will pay 94% of the death benefit in a lump sum for insureds who appear to have less than 12 months to live, Mutual of Omaha says.
