Humana To Hire 530 In Arizona

A health insurer is expanding Medicare Advantage and mail-order prescription operations in the Southwest.

Humana Inc., Louisville, Ky., says it already employs 665 in the Phoenix area and expects to add 530 more by January 2008.

Humana is opening a new Medicare Advantage direct marketing center in Phoenix. That facility will employ 330 by early 2008.

The company also is hiring 200 employees for a mail-order pharmacy call center in Tempe, Ariz., that will supplement another Humana mail-order pharmacy call center in Phoenix.

Humana opened the Phoenix mail-order pharmacy in January 2006.

Humana is hiring customer service reps, team leaders, front-line leaders, workforce analysts and managers for the pharmacy call center.

The company is hiring sales reps, enrollment specialists, client specialists, quality assurance specialists, administrative assistants and supervisors for the Medicare Advantage center.
