A large annuity manufacturer says it will be trying to do a better job of focusing on the needs of its customers.

Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, Golden Valley, Minn., has announced that it will try to achieve that goal by formalizing a code of best practices education program for Allianz Life agents by the end of the year.

Allianz Life also will be hiring a chief suitability officer and expanding an existing quality assurance survey program, which contacts every fixed annuity customer after policy issuance, the company says.

By Sept. 30, Allianz Life hopes to start employing more staff members to ask customers about their purchasing experience, the company says.

The moves are part of an effort by Allianz Life’s parent company, Allianz S.E., Munich, to improve customer loyalty and satisfaction throughout the world, Allianz Life says.
