National Planning Holdings Inc. has named James Livingston to succeed Shawn Dreffein as chief executive officer.
NPH, Santa Monica, Calif., a broker-dealer network arm of Jackson National Life Insurance Company, Lansing, Mich., says Livingston will continue to be executive vice president of operations at Jackson National’s life distribution unit.
Jackson National, part of Prudential P.L.C., London, says it also has expanded the duties of Greg Cicotte, executive vice president and national sales manager at the life distribution unit.
Cicotte will keep his current duties and also take over Greg Salsbury’s responsibilities for overseeing sales activity in the bank and regional broker-dealer channels.
Salsbury will get executive responsibility for marketing communications and strategy, the retirement and wealth strategies group, and other marketing, communications and recruiting operations.

- Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, has hired Eileen Whelley to be executive vice president of human resources of Hartford.
Whelley previously was executive vice president of human resources at NBC Universal, New York.
Hartford also has promoted Daniel Andriola to be chief financial officer of the institutional solutions group in its U.S. wealth management division.
