A managed care company is helping employer customers take a hands-on approach to wellness.
CIGNA HealthCare, Bloomfield, Conn., a unit of CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia, says it is working with an outside firm to set up a health screening program.
Employers can use the program to offer screenings such as cholesterol and glucose, then give employees a chance to meet immediately after the screenings with a health coach, CIGNA says.
CIGNA is making the program available to behavioral health customers and customers of its CareAllies medical management program as well as group health customers.
