The federal government has picked a unit of Health Net Inc. to run a new counseling program.

The Health Net unit, Managed Health Network, Port Richmond, Calif., will be getting about $50 million per year for 5 years to set up and administer the Military Family Counseling Services program.

The new program will replace a pilot program that MHN has managed since 2004.

The program offers service members help with coping with the military lifestyle.
