Participants in the employee-paid insurance market say prices may hold steady or even fall over the next 12 months.

Researchers at Eastbridge Consulting Group Inc., Avon, Conn., have presented that conclusion in a summary of results from a survey of brokers, vendors and insurance company employees conducted in late 2006 and a similar survey conducted in July 2006.

Although many survey participants predicted that worksite sales would increase, only 36% said prices will increase, down from 51% a year earlier, Eastbridge researchers report.

About 12% of survey participants now expect worksite prices to fall, up from 5%, the researchers report.
