Neil Simon, who’s been the director of government relations for the Financial Planning Association for the past three years, is now VP of government relations for the Investment Adviser Association (IAA).

In announcing Simon’s new post January 22, David Tittsworth, IAA’s executive director, said Simon “has an excellent working knowledge of the financial services industry and the investment advisory profession, and he understands how to work with policy makers on Capitol Hill, the SEC, and other governmental agencies.” Simon, who also served as a legislative director in the U.S. House of Representatives, starts his new post at IAA in mid-February.
