The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP) and the Financial Planning Association (FPA) have announced a joint effort to host the 2007 Program Directors Conference in conjunction with FPA’s 2007 annual conference in Seattle, Washington. For the past 14 years, the CFP Board has held an annual Program Directors Conference for directors of CFP Board-Registered Programs that provide the educational courses preparing individuals for CFP certification. This year, the Program Directors Conference will be held as a pre-conference event on September 7-8, directly followed by the FPA conference on September 8-11. The dual-event will provide an opportunity to connect with a larger financial planning community.

“We are partnering with FPA to provide program directors with a larger-scale conference, increased support, a wider variety of subjects and interaction with other facets of the financial planning community,” said Karen Schaeffer, chair of CFP Board’s Board of Directors, in a statement.
