Globe Life and Accident Insurance Company has paid $47 million to acquire the assets of Direct Marketing Advertising Distributors Inc.

Globe Life is a unit of Torchmark Corp., McKinney, Texas.

Direct Marketing, Hicksville, N.Y., is an advertising and marketing firm that has helped Globe Life market life insurance through mailed coupon packets and publication inserts, Torchmark says.

Globe Life is Direct Marketing’s only insurance client, Torchmark reports.
