Sean Dilweg took office as the new Wisconsin insurance commissioner this week.
Dilweg previously was the executive assistant in the Wisconsin Department of Administration.
Dilweg has worked in private industry for Essie Consulting Group, Madison.
Essie clients have included American International Group Inc., New York, as well as the Wisconsin Credit Union League, Pewaukee, Wis., and the Wisconsin Hospital Association, Madison, according to the Essie Web site.
Gov. Jim Doyle, a Democrat, picked Dilweg to succeed Jorge Gomez.
Dilweg has a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a bachelor’s degree from Lawrence University.
