Personnel Changes: Lincoln, Minnesota Life

Lincoln National Corp. has picked Heather Dzielak to lead its new retirement income security ventures group.

Dzielak, who will become a senior vice president, has been a vice president at the company’s variable annuity business, according to Lincoln, Philadelphia.

Dzielak will be hiring team unit group staffers from outside the company as well as picking staffers from inside the company, according to Lincoln.

In other personnel news:

- The Des Moines, Iowa, fixed annuity unit of ING Groep N.V., Amsterdam, has hired Eric Baldwin to be a vice president and head of regional banks distribution.

He previously worked for the investment services arm of KeyCorp, Cleveland.

- Minnesota Life Distributors, a unit of Minnesota Mutual Life Insurance Company, St. Paul, Minn., has hired Mark James to work on its external wholesaling staff. James will handle the Pacific Northwest territory, which includes Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.

James previously was annuity sales director at Midland National Life Insurance Company, West Des Moines, Iowa, which is a unit of Sammons Financial Group, Chicago.

James has a bachelor’s degree from Murray State University.
