West Coast Bank Chooses Annuity Vendor

The investment services arm of BancWest Corp. has agreed to market life insurance and annuity products from Symetra Life Insurance Company.

BancWest, San Francisco, is a bank holding company with 680 offices in 19 Western and Midwestern states.

BancWest is a unit of BNP Paribas S.A., Paris.

Symetra, Bellevue, Wash., is a major annuity issuer that was part of Safeco Corp. until July 2004.
