A benefits technology firm has announced sales to a health savings account firm and a large health carrier.
First Horizon Msaver Inc., Overland Park, Kan., will be using digital signature technology from Benefitfocus.com Inc., Mount Pleasant, S.C., to help customers enroll in a high-deductible health plan and open a First Horizon HSA during the same session, without having to sign any paper forms.
Independence Blue Cross, Philadelphia, will be using Benefitfocus to update its customer Web site starting in 2007. The new site will offer open enrollment tools, consumer health shopping tools, customized benefit management reports and the ability to link to an employer’s payroll vendor, according to Benefitfocus.
