Profits Rise At RGA

Strong results in the United States and Europe helped earnings at Reinsurance Group of America Inc. during the second quarter.

RGA, St. Louis, is reporting $64 million in net income for the second quarter on $1.2 billion in revenue, up from $22 million in net income on $1.1 billion in revenue for the second quarter of 2005.
