Scott Hamilton will help the Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education, Washington, promote the value of life insurance and of seeking advice from insurance professionals.
Hamilton, a skater who won a gold medal in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, will be the spokesman for the LIFE Foundation’s third annual Life Insurance Awareness Month, which is scheduled to take place in September.
Hamilton lost his mother to cancer when he was 19, and he says the financial hardships he faced as a result have spurred him to own life insurance ever since he was a young adult.
