Managers of a major Web-based benefits distribution system have selected a provider of limited benefit health insurance products.
BenefitPoint Inc., San Francisco, has named Symetra Life Insurance Company, Bellevue, Wash., to be the premier services provider of group mini med products and medical stop-loss insurance for its Aptus distribution system.
Symetra will become the first insurer that will accept requests for quotes for mini med plans through the Aptus system, according to BenefitPoint.
The Aptus system now reaches 400 benefits brokers and consultants, and those producers work with employers that provide coverage for more than 45 million individuals, BenefitPoint says.
