A subsidiary of StanCorp Financial Group Inc. has introduced the Preferred Professional Long Term Disability contract.

Standard Insurance Company, Portland, Ore., says the contract, which is designed for physician groups, includes options to increase benefit amounts, provide additional benefit coverage, extend benefits duration and add an “own specialty” definition of disability.

Employers with 15 to 2,500 employees will get an employee assistance program, Standard says.

Other benefits and benefit options include a pension contribution benefit, an employer income protection benefit, a dependent education benefit and a family care expenses adjustment.

Standard can offer the Preferred Professional contract for groups that include 15 or more members.

Standard offers another contract designed for physician groups with 2 to 15 members.
