NUCO Acquires Conference Group

National Underwriter Company, Erlanger, Ky., a unit of Highline Media, announced the acquisition today of the assets of the Conference Group Ltd. Terms were not announced.

The Conference Group is an insurance industry executive-level conference organizer. Among other meetings, it stages the Annual Executive Conference for the Property-Casualty Insurance Industry and the Annual Executive Conference for the Life Insurance Industry.

Conference Group will become part of NUCO’s Insurance Conference Division, headed by James M. Keefe III, NUCO senior vice president and managing director.

Deborah Slott, founder of the conferences and organizer since their inception, joins Keefe’s unit as director of executive events. She will continue to work from her New York office.

“We are extremely excited to add these two premier events to our growing conference portfolio,” said Andrew L. Goodenough, president and chief executive officer of Highline Media.

Goodenough added that the company is “committed to expanding our conference programs, and these events fit perfectly into our model for a highly successful series of senior-level events.”
