Personnel Changes: Principal, Securian, Curian

Principal Financial Group Inc. has hired Jeff Schreiber to be vice president of business development for third-party administrators.

Schreiber, who will be based in Principal’s retirement services office in Boston, previously worked for Fidelity Investments Life Insurance, an arm of Fidelity Investments, Boston, according to Principal, Des Moines, Iowa.

In other personnel news:

- Units of Minnesota Mutual Cos. Inc., St. Paul, Minn., have promoted 2 employees.

One of the units, Securian Financial Group Inc., has named Blake Reigert manager for special retirement plans. He will manage the unit that serves as the record-keeper and service provider for the company’s institutional retirement plans.

Reigert has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.

The other unit, Securian Financial Services Inc., has named Jessica Madigan manager of branch operations.

Madigan, who previously was a senior quality business auditor, has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota.

- Curian Capital L.L.C., Denver, a registered investment advisor unit of Jackson National Life Insurance Company, Lansing, Mich., has hired Bonnie Howe to be vice president and deputy general counsel.

Howe previously was assistant general counsel at Janus Capital Management L.L.C., Denver.

Howe has a bachelor’s degree from DePauw University and a law degree from Georgetown University.
