Personnel Changes: Sun Life, Old Mutual, Symetra

- Old Mutual Financial Network, Atlanta, has hired Brian Grigg to be vice president for brokerage annuity.

Grigg previously was the channel manager for annuity master general agent distribution at a unit of Sun Life.

Grigg has a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Merrimack College and a master’s degree in business from the University of Massachusetts. He holds the Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant professional designations.

Old Mutual Financial Network is the marketing name for a group of companies that includes Fidelity and Guaranty Life Insurance Company, Americom Life and Annuity Insurance Company and Fidelity and Guaranty Life of New York. The group is an arm of Old Mutual P.L.C., London.

- Symetra Financial, Bellevue, Wash., has hired Thomas Waters to be senior vice president for new business development for its financial institutions channel.

Waters previously was a senior vice president for new business development at INVEST Financial Corp., Tampa, Fla., a unit of the U.S. operations of Prudential P.L.C., London.
