Kansas Carrier Chairman Passes Baton

Security Benefit Life Insurance Company says its chairman will be retiring as chairman but staying on the company board until June 2007.[@@]

Howard Fricke, chairman of Security Benefit, Topeka, Kan., will be turning the chairman title over to Kris Robbins, the company’s president, Jan. 1, 2006, according to Security Benefit.

Fricke, who has been chairman of Security Benefit since 1995, is also director of the Kansas Department of Commerce.

Fricke also is a past chairman of the Life Office Management Association, Atlanta, and a past board member of the American Council of Life Insurers, Washington.

Robbins joined Security Benefit in 1997 and has been president since 1998.

Robbins is a current member of the ACLI board and a holder of the Fellow of the Life Management Institute professional designation.

Robbins has a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in business from Murray State University.
