Bank Of N.Y. To Offer Phoenix Products

A Hartford company will be selling life insurance through a New York money-center bank.[@@]

The company, The Phoenix Companies Inc., says it will be marketing variable universal life, universal life, term life and private-placement life through the Bank of New York Company Inc.

The Bank of New York picked Phoenix because of its experience with handling estate planning, executive benefits, charitable giving arrangements and other advanced planning needs, Phoenix says.
