N.Y. Life Unit Hires More Wholesalers

MainStay Investments, Parsippany, N.J., has recruited 5 new regional vice presidents of sales.[@@]

The company, a money management unit of New York Life Insurance Company, New York, began beefing up its wholesaling staff 9 months ago and now says it has hired a total of 14 new wholesalers.

The newest wholesalers are Christopher Chandler, Chris Fiacco, Robert Finley, Sandy Hornor and David Zander.

Chandler, who will handle brokerage firms in southern Texas and Louisiana, previously was a vice president at Phoenix Investment Partners, a unit of Phoenix Companies Inc., Hartford.

Fiacco, who will work with brokerage firms in Delaware, eastern Pennsylvania and eastern Maryland, was a regional manager at Lord, Abbett & Company, Jersey City, N.J.

Finley, who will work with brokerage firms in the north Texas region, was a senior vice president at Berkeley Capital Management L.L.C., San Francisco.

Hornor, who will work with brokers in western Maryland, Washington and Virginia, was a regional vice president at MFS Investment Management, Boston.

Zander, who will work with financial advisors in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas, has worked for Lincoln National Corp., Philadelphia.
