NEW YORK (–Investor response to upcoming capital introduction meetings organized by Jane Halsey’s Roundtable Forum suggests that the inflow of institutional money will continue.

“Interest for the event is strong on the investor part,” said Philip Varrichio of Roundtable Forum, New York. The coming meetings are in London April 12 and in New York May 24.

Ms. Halsey has been organizing independent capital introduction events since 1999, and more than 350 managers have presented over the years, with the funds ranging from more than US$1 billion vehicles to those in the planning stage.

An investor committee reviews applicants, choosing a mix of styles and strategies that reflects the interest of institutional investors at the time. Managers do not need to have any particular prime broker affiliation, but they pay a fee if they are chosen to present at an event .
