BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (HedgeWorld.com)–Copernico Capital Partners is the latest addition to the CSFB/Tremont’s* Emerging Markets Investable Hedge Fund Index.

Copernico’s event-driven vehicle, the Copernico Latin American Strategic Fund, was selected as one of 114 funds included in the 10 sector investable indexes offered by Credit Suisse First Boston/Tremont Hedge Fund Index LLC.

The Latin American hedge fund firm focuses on momentum strategies in countries such as Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. Launched in 1999, The Copernico Latin American Strategic Fund is the firm’s flagship fund and is a Cayman Islands-domiciled, multi-strategy vehicle with an event-driven focus.

“We are very pleased to have been chosen by CSFB/Tremont and believe that this recognition is one more indication that the event-driven strategy of the Copernico Latin American Strategic Fund has been successful in producing differentiated results from other funds focused on the region,” said Ricardo Maxit, chief investment officer of Copernico, in a statement.
