NEW YORK (HedgeWorld.com)–Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. hired two Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. brokerage executives, Iv?n Santill?n and Keith Cunningham, to work in global equity derivatives.

Mr. Santill?n worked at Merrill in origination and sales of equity derivatives to Latin American clients, while Mr. Cunningham worked in the same area for the overall Americas, according to a statement from Deutsche Bank. Their titles were not available from either Deutsche Bank or Merrill Lynch. The names of their replacements at Merrill couldn’t be obtained.

At Deutsche Bank, Mr. Santill?n will be a director responsible for Latin America, a new position. Mr. Cunningham, a vice president at Deutsche Bank, will be on an origination team led by Michael Chun, director in charge of origination, hedge fund sales and institutional client solutions.

Earlier this month, Deutsche Bank hired three directors to its North American structuring group. One of them, Laurent Rimmen, works on structuring hedge fund-related transactions. Previously, he was a director at Soci?t? G?n?rale (see ).
