CMA Adds Senior Hedge Fund Analyst

NEW YORK (HedgeWorld.com)–Michael Holt was hired by Capital Management Advisors North America as a senior research analyst.

He will focus on identifying and monitoring U.S.-based hedge fund managers in the arbitrage area. CMA North America is the research subsidiary of Geneva-based CMA, a funds of funds firm that has US$1 billion in institutional and private client assets.

Mr. Holt will work closely with Karl Morawski and Matias Ringel, who are research directors within the group. Mr. Morawski joined CMA last December (see).

Just like Mr. Morawski, Mr. Holt is from LJH Global Investments, where he was a vice president of research from 2001 to 2003. He will now make up CMA’s U.S. research team that is essential to the firm’s strategy and commitment to excellent analysis and manager due diligence, according to a statement from Angelos Metaxa, co-founder of the CMA Group.
