AIG Is Now

In The Dow

American International Group Inc., is now one of the 30 companies that comprise the Dow Jones Industrial Average. AIG, along with Verizon and Pfizer, will replace AT&T, Eastman Kodak and International Paper in the widely followed average that was first started in 1896.

AIG is the only insurance company in the DJIA. Other financial services companies in the Dow include Citigroup, American Express and J.P. Morgan Chase.
