JP Benefits Unit Targets Executives

NU Online News Service, March 29, 2004, 4:25 p.m. EST – Jefferson Pilot Financial, Greensboro, N.C., wants to use its group term life program to get into the executive suite.[@@]

Jefferson Pilot’s Benefit Partners group insurance unit has started the Group Life Carve-Out Solution program. Sales support specialists assigned to the program will try to help benefits brokers sell individual Jefferson Pilot life insurance to executives at employers that buy Jefferson Pilot group coverage.

The program is the first systematic effort to sell individual life insurance through the Benefit Partners unit, Jefferson Pilot says.

Jefferson Pilot is a unit of Jefferson-Pilot Corp., Greensboro.
