NU Online News Service, March 3, 2004, 1:25 p.m. EST – New York Life Insurance Company has appointed Eric B. Campbell executive vice president and chief distribution officer for New York Life International, the company’s overseas arm.[@@]

Campbell will assume his new duties on April 1. He is currently senior vice president in New York Life’s agency department.

His duties in the newly created position will include helping to build the company’s field forces in high-growth international markets, the company says. He will report to Gary G. Benanav, New York Life International’s chairman and CEO.

The chief distribution officer position replaces the role of chief of international agency operations, currently held by Tom Flournoy. Flournoy will retire in June after nearly 40 years with New York Life.
