N.Y. Life Hires Security Chief

NU Online News Service, Feb. 5, 2004, 12:29 p.m. EST – New York Life Insurance Company has hired Leonard Mackesy to be corporate vice president of security.[@@]

Mackesy will manage security for the home office building and the company’s other offices in the New York area. He also will handle international security policy, executive security and travel security policies.

Mackesy previously was a deputy chief at the New York/New Jersey Port Authority Police Department. He spent 25 years at the department.

Mackesy has a bachelor’s degree from Jersey City State College, a master’s degree in public administration from Rutgers University and a certificate in criminal justice studies from the F.B.I. National Academy.
